1. Locating the Plugin Settings
Once the plugin is activated, it integrates directly into your WooCommerce workflow. You can find the global settings by navigating to WooCommerce → ACF Variations in your WordPress admin sidebar.
2. Global Configuration & Display
In the settings panel, you can define how your custom metadata should appear to your customers.
Frontend Display Layout: Select between Table, Accordion, or List formats to match your site’s design.
Automatic Rendering: Toggle this on to automatically display the metadata on the product page.
Where to Render: Choose the position (e.g., After Add to Cart Button).
3. Setting Up ACF Field Groups
To show specific data for each product variation, you need to create an ACF Field Group with a specific Location Rule.
In the Settings tab under Location Rules, select: Post Type is equal to Variation Product
Navigate to Custom Fields → Field Groups.
Add your fields (e.g., a “Specs” Repeater field).
4. Managing Variation Data
Once your fields are set up, you can enter unique data for every single variation of your product.
Go to the Variations tab in the Product Data section.
Edit any Variable Product.
Expand the variation you want to edit (e.g., “Medium Blue”).
You will now see your ACF fields ready to be filled. Enter the specific details for that variation and save.
5. Customer Experience (Frontend)
On the product page, the plugin works instantly. When a customer selects a variation from the dropdowns, the metadata is swapped in real-time to show the relevant specifications for that specific selection.
